Career Counselling
To provide counselling to students by Rotarians based on their skills and experience.
The rationale of RC Phoenix Career Counselling Project was to encourage and create a platform for Rotarians, their spouses and friends of RC Phoenix to provide counselling, share hands-on experience and advice – based on their own professions – to students who would be making career choices as soon as they leave secondary school to go to university or higher studies.
Fields covered: Management, Entrepreneurship, Media, Marketing, PR, Legal, Accountancy, Finance, Banking, Medical sciences & Academia.
Projects completed:
Royal College of Curepipe (500 boys) & Dr Maurice Cure State Secondary School (250 girls).
This project strengthened RC Phoenix’s engagement within its community, namely the Vacoas-Phoenix region and was aligned with the Government of Mauritius’s vision to make Mauritius an educational and knowledge hub.
